Post-Treatment Aftercare

Days One to Two: A sunburn-like effect is normal. Your skin may feel tight, dry, or sensitive to the touch.

Apply your rollerball serum as often as needed.

Wash with a gentle cleanser, cool water, using hands only, and pat dry no earlier than 8 hours after treatment.

Redness or sensitivity are normal.

You may take 400mg-800mg of ibuprofen and/or 25mg-50mg of Benadryl to help with the inflammation and itching.

Stick with a gentle cleanser and continue to apply to your serum regularly. Avoid
scrubbing, rubbing, or using exfoliants. Apply sunscreen daily.

Days Three to Four: You may notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin
cells. Do not pick, scratch, or scrub! Allow old skin to flake off naturally and keep skin moisturized at all times. Apply your rollerball serum as often as needed.

Days Five to Seven: Restart your regular skin care products once your skin is no longer irritated. Most patients notice continued skin improvement for months following each treatment.A series of 3-6 treatments are necessary. The results of microneedling are cumulative and take time.

Keep treated area clean; avoid smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, excessive
exercise, sweating, swimming, or exposing skin to heat and sun.

Sunscreen: It is very important that you use sunscreen to prevent discoloration and sun damage to the skin while it is healing. Use sunscreen daily, even when you are inside! The sunscreen should offer broadband protection (UVA and UVB) and have a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or more. Apply if direct sun exposure is necessary, wear a hat and sunglasses.
