Pre-Treatment Instructions
Proper preparation reduces the risk of side effects and improves treatment outcomes.
Avoid Sun Exposure & Artificial Tanning (14 Days Prior)
Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. Skin that has been recently tanned or exposed to UV light is more prone to irritation, burning, and pigmentation changes.
Use SPF Daily
Start wearing broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day, even when indoors or during overcast weather. Consistent sun protection reduces the chance of unwanted pigmentation and supports better long-term results.
Post-Treatment Aftercare
After your session, your skin may be temporarily sensitive. Here’s how to support your healing:
Continue Sun Avoidance
For at least 2 weeks post-treatment, avoid direct sunlight, outdoor exposure during peak UV hours, and tanning beds. Sun exposure can cause unwanted pigmentation or interfere with healing.
Wear Daily SPF
Protect your skin with a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every day. Reapply every 2 hours when outside. A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses are also highly recommended when outdoors.

Treatment Frequency
Pigment correction works best with a consistent treatment schedule. Here's what to expect:
- Correction Phase: Plan for 8 sessions, spaced every 2–4 weeks based on your skin concerns and provider recommendation.
- Maintenance Phase: After your initial series, maintain your results with monthly or as-needed treatments, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and goals.
